TEHRAN- The value of trades at Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) increased 106 percent in the last month of the past Iranian calendar year, Esfand (February 20 – March 20, 2019 ), Mehr news agency reported.

As reported, the worth of trades at TSE hit 201.64 trillion rials (about $4.8 billion) in Esfand from 98.6 trillion rials ($2.347 billion) in its previous month of Bahman.

Also, the number of traded shares rose to 55.322 billion in Esfand from 36.067 billion in Bahman.

The number of deals also rose six percent to 3.936 billion in Esfand from 3.709 billion in Bahman.

As reported, TEDPIX, the main index of TSE, gained 21,272 points or 14 percent to stand at 178,659 points in Esfand.

Some 510.76 billion shares worth 1.407 trillion rials (about $33.5 million) have been traded on average per day during the last month of the previous calendar year.
